About

I am a self-taught artist born in Kinshasa, D.R. Congo and now based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. My work blends figurative realism with stylized symbolism, drawing from Neoclassical influences, Afrocentric aesthetics, and the quiet precision shaped by my background in data science. Through confident brushwork, vivid palettes, and carefully structured compositions, I explore how identity and belonging are carried, transformed, and reimagined across borders.

Rooted in the diasporic experience, my paintings navigate the space between movement and memory. I use the figure as both anchor and vessel—an embodiment of resilience, serenity, and cultural continuity. Each piece becomes an invitation for introspection, encouraging viewers to consider how personal histories, migrations, and inherited narratives shape the ways we see ourselves and each other.

My practice exists at the intersection of diasporic African identity and global intellectualism, approaching art as both a cultural bridge and a philosophical inquiry. I aim to create work that celebrates heritage while speaking to universal human experiences, transforming lived observation and structural awareness into emotionally resonant, thought-provoking imagery.
